Wordless Wednesday, cat’s-eye view

  1. How long did the kitty stalk the turtle? And what did the turtle think about it?

    Love the sun ray photo.

    Did I tell you that Jim saw our resident hawk dive into our pool twice last week?

  2. It’s good to have you back, but I am sorry about your friend’s death. Miss you!

  3. So sorry for your loss of a friend.

    Glad you enjoyed the festival. I had expected festival posts from you or Zick, but so far nada.

    Cat on an exfoliating boulder. Nice.

  4. Oh, how afraid my remaining kitties (except for Mr. Rhett, of course) would be. They are really homebodies in their golden years. But what a FUN place to be able to play in.

  5. Oh my your cat looks just like my Lil Bear who went missing a couple of weeks ago. My boy had four perfect white boots. I am very sad and still hopeful that he will return.

    What a day cats must have. Perhaps we should place those little cameras on them to really see what goes on.

    The other day a huge turtle had wandered into our goat pen and it was fun watching their discovery. My grandson rescued the turtle and released in in the adjoining field

  6. Perhaps you asked that turtle to handle publishing your blog posts?

    Which brings to mind two of my favorite Ogden Nash poems.

    The Turtle:
    The turtle lives ‘twixt plated decks
    Which practically conceal its sex.
    I think it clever of the turtle
    In such a fix to be so fertile.

    And…(Pardon the incorrect use of ellipses;
    Incidentally, your writing, regarding all others, eclipses!)

    The Tortoise (from Carnival of the Animals):
    Come crown my brow with leaves of myrtle,
    I know the tortoise is a turtle.
    Come carve my name in stone immortal,
    I know the turtoise is a tortle.
    I know to my profound despair;
    I bet on one to beat a hare.
    I also know I’m now a pauper,
    Because of its tortley, turtley, torper.

    My turn:

    Humbly, Ms. Bennett, I must presently beseech thee:
    Compose a new post before mold grows on my French brie.
    For you to write something new, must I create a silly poem?
    (You’ll drive me to drink wine by the jeraboam!)
    Lastly, from me (I can be such a pistol):
    For Heaven sakes, Vicki, update, Sistah!
